Your Pilates journey starts and continues at any age

If you

  • Suffer from lower back or other back or joint pain and if it is reoccurring

  • Have weaker bones and muscles

  • Feel unsteady on your feet or lose your balance

  • Have poor posture

  • Have poor coordination

  • Feel stiff or achy after sitting or standing for long periods of time

  • Find it difficult getting out of bed or standing up from a chair or kneeling

  • Want to have some fun whilst exercising and meet new people

Pilates is for you!

The more you do Pilates

  • The better coordinated you'll become

  • The less recurring pain you will experience over time

  • The easier it is to adopt the moves in everyday life

  • The stronger your bones and muscles will be

  • The more flexible you'll feel.

How my clients got started

Nigel, 76

"When I turned 76 I still felt quite fit.  To maintain flexibility I decided to try Pilates.

While Pilates is not an energetic form of exercise, it does test me. Sally is always careful to stress that movement must be within your personal range. I have had lower back problems in the past, and have a slightly weak shoulder from a fall. But these are allowed for and I feel that those problems are definitely lessening.   And I just feel good.

I certainly do feel better for my classes and look forward to them each week.   I can say that neither age nor fitness (or the lack thereof) need be a barrier to trying Pilates – I am glad that I did."
